The Joint National Committee for Languages and the National Council for Languages and International Studies (JNCL-NCLIS) represents the interests of over 140 member organizations, associations and companies in virtually all aspects of the language enterprise — education PreK-20, research, training, assessment, translation, interpreting and localization — to the US Government. The mission of JNCL-NCLIS is to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to learn English and at least one other language.
