The UNDL Foundation is a non-profit organization established under Swiss Law in Geneva in January 2001. The Foundation is also a NGO accredited by the United Nations since 2004. Its mission is to promote reciprocal knowledge exchange among cultures and mutual understanding among peoples through multilingual communication. The Foundation has a special mandate from the United Nations for developing and promoting the Universal Networking Language (UNL) to the benefit of all nations. The Foundation accomplishes this task with the cooperation of a global network of UNL language centres. The UNDL Foundation mission is to enable all peoples to share their information, knowledge and culture with others, each in its natural language. To this effect, we mobilize a global network of developers and worldwide communities of users for developing a multilingual communication infrastructure based on the UNL, without regard to any particular language.
